Walkers can step out of the cottage door and be in the Yorkshire Dales National Park in minutes. Malham Cove is a 2hr 20 walk and there are so many other beautiful places to visit within easy driving distance including; Malham Cove, Gordale Scar and Janets Foss (7 miles), The famous market town of Settle (5 miles) and Skipton with its castle (4 miles), and the forest of Bowland (20 mins).
There are so many things to see and do in Yorkshire, but if you fancy something a little different, a trip to the seaside at Morceambe Bay takes just 55 mins in the car, and the Lake District is also just 50 minutes away. You can also drive South to Lancashire and explore Bronte country – just 20 minutes away.
The front door leads into a cosy lounge with original beams and a traditional wood burner (wood and kindling provided) at the heart of the property. Relax on the large comfy sofa in front of the fire, or make use of the Smart TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime available if you have an account. There are board and family games to play. The console table next to the staircase has a range of books with local walks for guests to use, along with folders of information on the local area and laminated local walks for you to make use of during your stay. Wifi available.
The lounge leads into a modern kitchen with a dining table and seating for four people. The kitchen is well equipped and has an electric oven and hob, fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster and plenty of storage space in the pantry for food (although don’t forget to check out the folder with local places to eat if you fancy a break from cooking whilst on holiday!). There is an iron and ironing board, hoover if needed, and a washing machine and clothes horse.
We provide tea (Yorkshire tea of course, along with a small selection of herbal teas), coffee and sugar for guests, along with a kitchen pack for your stay (washing up liquid, cloths etc). There is a heated towel rail in the kitchen perfect for drying wet jackets, and a boot tray and boot jack for muddy boots.
There is a downstairs bathroom with electric shower, vertical heated towel rail and a mirror with light and electric shaving point. Towels are provided along with toilet paper and mini toiletries.
Bedroom 1 (Master bedroom) has a comfy double bed, hanging space (and hangers) and a chest of drawers. There are bedside tables with lamps on both sides of the bed.
Bedroom 2 is a twin room, so suitable for one or two guests. There is a built in wardrobe with hanging space and drawers, full length mirror, bedside table and lamp
The back door opens onto a small shared walkway with the other cottages, and then straight into an enclosed garden with a paved area and a raised decking with seating for four people. This is a great area if you are bringing your dog on holiday (we do ask that dogs are not left unattended in the garden)
