Beach Breeze Seaside Chalet, Peaceful Site Yaverland Sandown
Beach Breeze seaside chalet is a well-equipped, modern chalet, with a lovely location overlooking the green. You can enjoy drinks on your private decked area, looking across to the Downs, where you will see the sun set in the evenings. Peaceful Sandown Bay Holiday Centre itself is set in the grounds of an old Victorian fort, above Yaverland beach and in an AONB.
Step out of the site gate onto the Island’s coastal path and, in just a few minutes, you will reach the sandy Yaverland beach and café. On the other side of the road from the beach is the Wildheart Sanctuary, the home of rescued lions, tigers, servals, monkeys and more. You will love hearing Casper the lion and his friends roar when you’re at Beach Breeze.
Beach Breeze has everything you need for comfortable home away from home. The living area has a corner sofa bed, a dining table with 4 chairs, and a Smart TV. The kitchen is equipped for holiday dining. Bedroom one has a double bed, and fitted cupboards. Bedroom 2 has full size bunk beds with wardrobe. Modern tiled bathroom has a large walk-in shower.
High chair and travel cot are available to borrow on request. Beach Breeze is decorated in light and airy coastal style including local art and furnishings. There is plenty to explore in the area – Yaverland beach is the start of 5 miles of beaches of Sandown Bay stretching all the way to Shanklin. From Sandown Bay Holiday Centre, and Yaverland Beach, there is plenty within easy reach along the sea front. Brown’s Golf, Dinosaur Isle, Sandham Gardens; beach bars and cafés, a traditional pier.
Nowhere on the Island is far, so within a short drive you can easily visit 50 miles of coastline, attractions and historic sites such as Queen Victoria’s Osborne House, Carisbrooke Castle, Amazon World, Monkey Haven, Butterfly World, The Needles Landmark Attraction, the Donkey Sanctuary and lots more. If you’re looking for solitude, over half the Island is countryside with views for miles, much of it is AONB, and the Island is a designated UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
The Island has award-winning produce which can be tasted in the menus of local eateries and bars – there is something to suit all tastes. Britain’s largest and sunniest island is just over 2 hours from London – the pace is more leisurely so it’s great place to escape to for a break but no passport is needed.
