Graziers Cottage - 300-y.o. Cotswolds cottage with mod cons
Graziers Cottage is a 300-y.o. Cotswold cottage, a beautiful historical property with the comfort of modern conveniences. It is a self-catering accommodation, ideal for 2-4 guests without pets, and family-friendly.
Built circa 1720 and fully refurbished in 2018, Graziers Cottage is a perfect base for those who wish to experience staying at a Grade II Listed quintessentially Cotswold cottage without compromising on comfort.
The cottage consists of two floors: upstairs via a staircase are situated 2 bedrooms (Master bedroom with king bed + Twin room with 2 single beds) and a family bathroom with walk-in shower. On the ground floor is situated a fully equipped kitchen with built-in appliances, breakfast table and chairs; a cosy living/dining room with a massive inglenook fireplace and a wood burner.
All bedrooms, the bathroom and the kitchen are equipped with underfloor heating. The living room has 2 thermostat-controlled electric storage heaters. Both bedrooms and the living room has its own smart TV with complimentary Netflix. We also offer our guests the use of free WiFi 350 Mbps. Twin bedroom has a vintage-style games console.
We host families with children of all ages. For those with little ones we can provide on request: travel cot, foldable bath, stairgate or bed guard, high chair, children’s crockery and cutlery. We also have a small library for guests to borrow a book for a bed time story.
Our enclosed secured garden with a patio and table and chairs allows guests to extend their outdoor time. The garden is secluded and provides full privacy as well as a pretty sunny spot for your morning cuppa or an evening G&T. We also offer our guests use of a built-in barbecue.
Off-street parking for 2 cars is located within 30 steps away from the cottage (level access). Please note: the car park and a pathway are gravelled, there is no charging facility at the car park for electric cars.
We consider ourselves fortunate to have a quirky country pub within a one-minute walk from the cottage. “The Plough Inn” is dating back to the 17th century and long ago was a stopover point for the Knights of the Temple on their way to the crusades. Enjoy open fires in Winter and a beer garden through the Summer.
Graziers Cottage is situated in a small hamlet of Ford, in a semi-rural location surrounded by beautiful countryside. We have a few picturesque countryside walks right on our doorstep, if you are seeking peace and quiet. However, should you wish to explore beautiful Cotswold villages and buzzing market towns – they are just within 10-15 min drive from the cottage.
There are plenty of visitors attractions (including family-friendly) within a 30 min drive from the cottage. Should you require it, we would be very happy to help with planning your stay and sharing our best knowledge of the area.
We offer short stays with flexible dates from November to April (except Christmas Week). From April to July we offer weekly and short stays with check-in and check out on Friday or Monday. From July to September we offer weekly stays only with check-in and check out on Friday or Monday.
