Our beautiful Gite will sleep up to 6 people (plus infants) in 2 bedrooms. We can be flexible with the beds and provide 2 super-kings and 2 singles or, split the super-kings into singles if needed. Free Fibre Optic Wi-Fi. Special low season longer term rental rates, contact me for more information.
Our beautiful gite is located in the department of Mayenne in the Pays de la Loire region of France. This area of France is beautiful and largely undiscovered as a tourist destination, making it ideal in these difficult times. We have developed a Google map for our guests showing our location and local shops, activities etc and we continue to add to it all the time – this can be found on our website (locality & activities page).
The jacuzzi, swimming pool (unheated), terrace, and gardens are all private for gite guests only. The jacuzzi is emptied, cleaned and refilled between every booking and, as it is optional, is charged at €60 per week cash on arrival. During the colder months of the year we unfortunately have to charge for heating and this is €12 per day cash on arrival.
We have a thorough cleaning policy that we follow between every booking. This has been enhanced due to Covid19 because we want our guests to feel safe in the knowledge that we care and that they can book with confidence. Therefore to ensure completion of our cleaning, the arrival and leaving times at our Stunning Gite – Private Jacuzzi, Pool, Optional Carp Fishing are: arrival from 16.00hrs, departure by 10.00hrs
Upstairs in the Gite there are 2 spacious, beautifully decorated bedrooms, sleeping up to 6 people (plus babies) together with a bathroom with walk in rain shower, double sinks, illuminated heated mirror, heated towel rail and toilet. Shower gel and soap are provided free.
All towels, including jacuzzi towels, and Egyptian cotton bed linen are included and beds will be made up before arrival. Both bedrooms have lake views and velux windows in the roof. All windows have external electric shutters providing blackout and ventilation. There is a large fan in each bedroom.
There is also underfloor heating downstairs and radiators upstairs to provide a great place for all seasons (an additional charge of €12 per day will apply for the heating in the colder months of the year).
Downstairs there is a fully equipped kitchen with an oak dining table and chairs. A second bathroom with walk in rain shower, illuminated heated mirror, sink and a separate toilet.
The hall leads on to the salon with lovely leather sofas with adjustable headrests, table lamps, coffee tables and a TV to relax and watch French and English free satellite channels. There is also a utility room with a large fridge/freezer, washing machine, clothes airer, iron and ironing board. All cleaning equipment is provided for your use and end of stay cleaning prior to departure.
Double doors lead from the salon giving a lovely view of the terrace where you will find a large table and chairs, a BBQ and our wonderful 5 person jacuzzi. The jacuzzi is sheltered from the wind and rain with it’s own cover and walls making it great even in the autumn/winter.
The terrace then leads up to the garden area where there is an above ground swimming pool (unheated), sun loungers and an area to play small games or of course relax in the sun. There is a chess/draughts board with pieces set into the terrace and some games are provided (such as Giant Jenga, boules & Giant Twister). Another garden is to the front of the gite.
All gite gardens, jacuzzi and swimming pool are private and for the use of our gite guests only. The pool is unheated and is available May-October.
There is another patio with bistro table and chairs to the side of the gite which has proved popular for morning coffee in the sun.
There is ample parking for several cars or motorcycles on site close to the gite, and it is secure behind locked gates.
We have teamed up with a local professional lady who can provide a range of massage services at the gite, so you don’t have to leave the property. Her rates are very reasonable, so well worth a look. Details on our website.
At our Stunning Gite – Private Jacuzzi, Pool, Optional Carp Fishing, we also provide Carp Fishing Holidays, and have been very fortunate to have met some wonderful couples and families since we opened in Summer 2020. The gite is only 30m from the lake, so if you have requested details for fishing as well there’s not far to go.
