Tryst Cottage Ingleton Pet Friendly Cottage, Yorkshire Dales
Located in the lovely village, Tryst Cottage Ingleton is the perfect base for your stay whilst you enjoy a walking, cycling, exploring holiday, or are enjoying a romantic break with our beautiful hand carved bespoke 4 poster bed.
Ingleton is at the southern end of the Yorkshire Dales where you will find the famous award winning Waterfalls Trail, and access to the Three Peaks of Ingleborough, Whernside and a little further afield, Pennyghent. The area is a geologists delight, with caves, limestone walks, and beautiful scenery. Whether you want an active holiday, or plan to explore the villages and towns by car, there is something for every age and ability – did I mention the local food will taste better too?
I can, if you wish, offer personalised suggestions as to places to visit and things to do during your stay, both in Ingleton, and the wider Yorkshire Dales. I very much look forward to hearing from you.
The cottage offers the perfect fusion of original features and high end, quality facilities with your comfort and relaxation in mind. With original beams, a dishwasher, full sized Fridge freezer, Smart HD Freesat TV, Netflix, a fully stocked kitchen and an array of glasses and wine cooler to enjoy your favourite tipple.
With furniture from John Lewis, and other quality suppliers, feedback from guests is that Tryst Cottage is a home from home. The Rangemaster cooker is supplemented by a microwave oven and slow cooker. I have tried to provide everything in the way of equipment that you might need for preparing and cooking a special meal. Denby tableware and cutlery for 10 place settings mean that you do not need to wait for the dishwasher to run to have another cup of tea or coffee. We love our cottage, and stay ourselves, so try to provide for you the things that we like to have when on holiday.
Outside, we have two sunny seating areas, the lower area around the barbecue is sheltered and offers privacy. Up on the mezzanine, you can enjoy the teak garden furniture and brolly. In the warmer months, the array of solar lights illuminating the garden areas will tempt you to stay outside longer, coming on as the daylight fades.
Logs are supplied for the log burner, which can enhance the central heating in the cooler months.
Up to two medium sized well behaved dogs are welcome by arrangement at no extra charge – please contact me if you have any different requirements. Ingleton is very dog friendly with an abundance of walks in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, and most pubs and bars in the village (and in the wider Yorkshire Dales) welcoming dogs when you go out to eat.
Bikes, caving and climbing equipment can be stored in the secure stone shed. There is parking at the rear of the cottage but a width restriction applies along the access route. Instead, you may prefer to park across our driveway on the road.
Ingleton has an outside swimming pool/Lido, a pump track and a children’s play area. The Settle to Carlise Railway is accessible via a short drive and steam trains can be set travelling over the Ribblehead viaduct.
The cottage is open all year round. In the winter, I accept weekend and short breaks starting any day. From mid May to the end of September I take full week bookings. Easter , New Year and half term are all full week bookings unless there is late availability. If this is disappointing, contact me anyway as I may well be able to accommodate your requirements – late availability offers are often also on our website.
Tryst Cottage Ingleton is regularly independently inspected by Visit England inspectors, for cleanliness, quality and to ensure that all the legal requirements are in place for your stay. so you can book with confidence knowing that Visit England make no money from your booking.
